The Boomerang Cycle

The Boomerang cycle is a repeatable three-step process: Benchmark, Analyse, Execute. We believe that by following these steps your fitness training will be more relevant, more focused and more effective.

Benchmark

Boomerang Pro Fitness measure the following benchmarks as a foundation to develop a broad profile of the athlete’s health and fitness. These are baseline variables that are relevant across multiple sports and can be assessed at any location.

  • Lung function
  • Body composition
  • Peak oxygen uptake
  • Core strength
  • Flexibility
  • Grip strength
  • Cholesterol levels
  • Blood glucose

Analyse

Our real-time physiological analysis system is the portal that shows exactly what an athlete is experiencing during competition. As well as using this data to shape individual fitness programmes, Boomerang Pro Fitness have also used this it to assist teams to make strategic decisions during the heat of competition.

  • Heart rate
  • Breathing rate

Execute

Based on the data collected at the Benchmark and Analyse stages, decisions can then be made on how best to design a bespoke training programme. Corrective exercise, sports therapy, amongst other factors can be considered at this stage. Using the knowledge of our team of experienced specialists we will work with you to find a manageable programme to help you achieve your goal.

Repeat

The frequency, intensity and mode of sporting preparation changes over the course of a season so we recommend that the Boomerang Cycle should be repeated in pre-season, during the build up to major competitive events, and during those events as required.
